Adobe Punk by About...Productions

If you know, you know: Los Angeles, punk and Latinx culture are inseparable. Here's a little bit about ADOBE PUNK, from About...Productions' website: "A work of historical fiction set in the early 80s in working-class Bell Gardens, Adobe Punk will tell the story of three young punk music fans who find refuge in what turns out to be one of the oldest adobe homes in L.A. County (built by the Lugo family in 1844). The trio, Latinx, Lebanese-American, and Anglo twenty-somethings -- are in the midst of their own artistic coming-of-age when they discover the house’s deep roots. This accidental act of historical discovery leads them to question their relationship to their neighborhood, their dreams, and the house itself."

Join me! It's a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon AND it's FREE.
